Star Wars fans, this one is for you.
The new Star Wars movie is slated to hit theaters on December 18th, 2015.
After big delay and many months of speculation, the Lucasfilm team announced the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII
The return of the trio that, to be honest is the essence of the Star Wars story; Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher as Leia Organa, caused rave on the internet.
Have you seen the actors in the first Star Wars movies?
Back in 1977 they were unknowns 🙂
The story gets more interesting because, Peter Mayhew will return as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO and Kenny Baker as R2-D2.
Besides the well known faces, J.J. Abrams invited and signed many newcomers which are also big names.
Before we show them to you, let’s share some info…
About the movie
Here is what J.J. Abrams says about the movie and the cast:
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII. It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
As we learned, Episode VII has been in a production for quite some time.
Interesting piece of information is that, back in October, 2013, Abrams took over the writing role (together with Lawrence Kasdan) for Episode VII, from Michael Arndt.
According to rumors from that time, Arnold and Kasdan were onto changing the whole story, even touching the fundamentals.
