Adopted Dog Stops Owner With Asperger’s Syndrome From Hurting Herself

Dogs can be our companions or get trained to be our helpers like guide dogs or police dogs. Now, they have proven themselves as protectors for people with Asperger’s Syndrome.

This condition is similar to autism and one of its many frightening symptoms is that people suffering from it can experience anxiety and panic attacks, and when they do they become violent towards themselves.

Danielle Jacobs from Arizona was diagnose with this disorder in 2013 and as a way to deal with it she decided to adopt a dog that will be by her side and help her get trough her meltdowns.

Her loving dog Samson has become her savior, always warning her of her attacks and comforting her afterwards.

It might not look like the dog is doing much, but it is enough to calm Danielle down.

Now, Sampson is her hero and the loving pup even passed his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and CGCA (Canine Community) tests, as well as PAT (Public Access Test).

Another proof that dogs are truly man’s best friends.
