Dogs and cats are required to wear collars and name tags as a proof they’re not strays and as a sure way to be reunited with their owners in case they get lost.

For years the tags were pretty standard: the name of the pet and contact information or address of the owner.

In the past few years, chips placed under the skin are slowly replacing name tags, which can easily get lost or taken off, so collars are becoming more of an accessories than your pets’ ID.
