They call themselves the “Top Secret Drum Corps” and while they might seem like a military band, they are actually a band of 25 civilian students.

Their demanding 6 minute drumming routine landed them a spot at the 2003 Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, where military forces from the Commonwealth display their musical talents.

While it is surprising that a non-military band managed to perform at Edinburgh castle, even more surprising is that they come from Basel, Switzerland.

So, what makes this group of ordinary students so special that they get repeated invitations to attend this prestigious annual event?
