There was a story cycling the net a long time ago about a couple of church-goers who would pray in front of a Jesus statue for hours every few days or so. The priests thought they were dedicated followers until they realized that they were only recharging their phone from the power outlet near the statue.
Since this was before the age of smart phones, you’d find it difficult to believe that people would be that desperate to have a charged phone.
Yet, times change and so do people, and today we can safely say that people are real phone addicts who can’t seem to function without their phone even for those few hours it would take them to come home and recharge it.
