Playing any musical instrument is a thrill for the senses, where your body not only enjoys the sound of the music, but also experiences the thrill of actually creating it.

But, what if you add one more stimuli for the senses in this process?

The MIT’s Tangible Media Group has created just that in their latest project, assaulting not only your auditory senses, but your visual ones as well.

In this animated experiment, they’ve projected human and animal figures at the base of a piano keyboards, appearing to play the keys while they walk around.

The entire things is a delight to watch, and you can only imagine how fun it would be to be able to play along these tiny glowing figures. Just look at how awesome teh whole thing is.

Now there’s a piano playing partner you’d never get bored with.
