Not a lot of people have been able to achieve this height of success. Which is why when I spoke with Alec, I asked him to share with me what his winning formula was.
Focusing on Yourself:
Focus is the one of the most critical components when it comes to achieving your goals. Most entrepreneurs understand that they require a high level of focus if they want to successfully scale their businesses and service.
But the major mistake that most of them make, is not putting enough focus on themselves. They put other people first and forget that they exist.
In Alec’s word,
“If you really want to level the playing field, overcome any obstacle and grab success, you’ll have to make yourself your number one priority. Taking care of yourself gives you the ability and strength to achieve whatever goal that you’ve set.”
The moment you begin to prioritize yourself, your goals become attainable.
Commitment and Accountability:
Apart from Focusing on oneself, there are other factors that contribute to Alec’s winning formula. Amidst them is commitment and accountability.
For you to succeed at what you do, you need to be committed and you need to be accountable for your actions.
Commitment involves being dedicated and devoted to a cause. It means that you have to set your mind 100% on that cause. Due to the different risks associated with becoming an entrepreneur, a high level of commitment is always important.
But commitment is not all. Apart from being committed, there’s another important factor, and that’s accountability.
The biggest mistake an entrepreneur can make is not having a structure in place to hold themselves accountable. That’s usually a recipe for disaster.
In Alec’s words,
“If you truly want to succeed then you’ll have to be committed to your cause and put structures in place that will help monitor your actions and hold you accountable”
Without commitment and accountability, it becomes difficult to achieve a set goal.
