Fortnite Party Royales are one of the very few good things happening in the world right now. After Christopher Nolan took to Fortnite last month to premiere the trailer of his new movie, Tenet, inside of the game, Fortnite aired three different Christopher Nolan Movies -Inception, Batman Begins and The Prestige- at the island’s theatre on June 26th. And now, Fortnite is preparing for their next major event.
The Party Royale was introduced in v12.50. It is a non-violent limited time mode in which the players don’t fight each other, instead they play various mini-games with their teams. The island where the Party Royale happens is named, “Papaya”. This island name itself signifies that it is a violence free zone unlike other Battle Royale islands- Athena and Apollo. Fortnite Party Royale is the first Social Game Mode. The Party Royale mode has three named locations: the Main Stage, The Plaza, and The Big Screen.
Diplo along with Major Lazer hosted a live virtual concert on May 1st, 2020 at Main Stage. And now Diplo will be back for his second Fortnite Party Royale along with Young Thug and Noah Cyrus. Posters reading “Diplo Presents: Thomas Wesley” have been rolled out, which is the name of the latest album by the DJ. Although the album was released on May 29, this will be Diplo’s first live performance of the album because of the pandemic situation.
Diplo’s album contains the song “Dance with Me“, which features Thomas Rhett and rapper Young Thug. And as Young Thug will be attending the Party Royale, fans will get to listen to this song for sure during the event. Although this concert is not as big of a event like Travis Scott, it sure will attract a major croud and Diplo fans.
The Fortnite Diplo time has been scheduled for 9pm ET, or 2am GMT on June 25, 2020. You can attend the show as long as you arrive in Party Royale mode before it ends. Epic Games has also announced that the event will be rebroadcasted as a rerun on Monday, June 29, 2020 at 9am PT, 5pm GMT. Since there is no RSVP necessary, you can join in at any time before the show ends.
If you wish to attend the concert you will have to reach the west side of the Party Royale ‘Papaya Island’ and to the Main Stage. To get to Party Royale mode all you need to do is to navigate to Battle Royale and select the Party Royale playlist. This is where all the action is going to happen. Fortnite players across all or any console systems -Windows, PS4, Xbox, Nintendo switch, iOS, Android or MAC- can join the party.
To celebrate the event Fortnite has also decided to bring back some of the crowd favorite party attires such as Deadfire, Desperado, Rio Grande, Frontier, Rustler and NightLife. The Knee Slapper emote is also being brought back. All these would be available in the Item Shop starting Wednesday, June 24, 8 PM ET. This will give a chance to fans to gear up and dress according to the party vibe.
