Imagine watching Mario as he vacations with his lovely Princess Peach and friends on Isle Delfino. Then, a random figure kidnaps Peach, Mario gets framed for vandalizing the Island, and the Shine Sprites (the Island’s light source) are missing.
Super Mario Sunshine is a swashbuckling adventure for the books! Being able to watch Mario find his love, save the Island, and clear his name is the next big hero’s tale. Not to mention, the plot twist of the century that happens in the middle of the game (You’re welcome for no spoilers.)
All in all, the Super Mario Sunshine movie would be a fantastic film to watch on the big screen.

Game of Thrones and video game fans would be delighted with this new movie.
This iconic action role-playing game has all of the ingredients of a perfect movie: a lush world, devoted fans, and a lot of lore.
The movie can explore the open world of Nirn, and can focus on the lives of the mystical mages, monster-defeating warriors, or just the everyday life of an average Joe living in this fantastical world.
Also, there is already an incredible soundtrack that can easily roll in the opening credits.
4. Fallout 3
Who doesn’t love a good post-apocalyptic thriller?
In the game, the player emerges from Vault 101 and explore the ruins of Washington, D.C. The world is pretty much a graveyard, and the nameless player must maneuver during this rude awakening.
Soundtracked by iconic vintage Americana music, the juxtaposition of a blown-out world matched by lively music is a terrifyingly bleak combination that is sure to thrill moviegoers. From its action, plot, and visuals, Fallout 3 would make an excellent feature film.
5. Forza Horizon 4
This immersive racing could be the next Fast and Furious.
Set in a fictionized Great Britain, Forza Horizon 4 lets players race in a beautiful open world, buy houses and unlock items, and even use a Steering Wheel for Xbox One.
Because of the immersive open world and complex weather system, this game could serve as an excellent baseline for a racing movie. Add complex characters to this incredible world, and keep the racing elements, you got a thriller on your hands.
6. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars is one of the most famed franchises in the world. However, one of the best and most beloved adaptions is the 2003 video game, Stars Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
This iconic video game takes the player back thousands of years before Anakin Skywalker became a Jedi or Darth Vader. In this game, you awaken in a ship that is about to blow. Once again, Rockstar Games provides incredible theatrics in their video games.
Though there was an animated short in 2010, Red Dead Redemption deserves a spot on the silver screen. From the western open world, action, and struggle, this movie would bring back a feeling of good ‘ole western classics from the ’50s and ’60s.

Life is Strange is one of the most exciting and compelling video games, and as a movie, it would fit perfectly in the “indie film” space.
The story follows Max Caulfield, an 18-year-old high school student who discovers she can turn back time. Her choices become more diverse, which evolves into the Butterfly Effect.
Between the plot lines, visuals, and beloved characters, this game would be an excellent feature film.
