Skin Care that Works for Your Lifestyle

2 min

When you first think of skin care, you think of washing your face. You immediately expect to hear about how to avoid wrinkles and puffy eyes.

While taking care of the skin on your face is a large part of skin care, you have skin all over your body. It is literally the largest organ you have.

When you get sick it is very likely that your skin plays a major part in you getting the bacteria or virus into your body. Maybe not by penetrating the skin, but with bad skin hygiene the germ will be alive on your hand when you need to wipe your eye or touch your food. Then viola, you are sick.

Communicable Diseases

Now that we have experienced a worldwide pandemic we have newly gained knowledge of how important it is to keep our hands clean. You may not think of this as skin care, but it is.

With the realization that everything and everyone is covered in germs, skin care has become even more important. Your skin is your main protector for the rest of your organs from the multitude of contaminants in the world.

Unless you live in a bubble, you face several dangers to your health daily. The best way for you to fight against them and keep yourself healthy is to have a good and complete skincare routine.

Keep Your Skin Clean

The most important rule to follow to keep yourself healthy is to keep your skin clean. Make sure to shower or bathe daily. Wash your hands or use sanitizer after you touch anything you did not personally sanitize immediately before touching it.

Washing your hands and using sanitizer multiple times a day will overdry your hands. It is important that your skincare routine includes a good moisturizer. You should keep a travel-size portion with you so that you can use it throughout the day.

If your hands crack from dryness that is allowing a direct entryway into your body for infection.

It is very important that you make sure your hands and the rest of your skin maintain their structure so that they can protect the rest of you.

Another skincare product that can help you to keep your skin sanitized and clean is a cleansing spray. These require no water to work and are often not as drying as hand sanitizer.

Be Mindful of Ingredients

When choosing your skincare product you must pay attention to ingredients. As with anything else natural ingredients will always be the best in the long run.

Make sure the moisturizer you choose contains aloe vera, an important ingredient in any product that will keep your skin hydrated correctly. Vitamin E is also a key ingredient that should be plentiful. These two ingredients should ideally also be in all of your cleansers.

Whatever cleansers you choose need to be ph-balanced. This is important, if the ph-balance of your skin is not correct it will allow an outbreak in the growth of bacterias and yeast.

Make sure to keep moisture at the front of your mind. Make sure you are staying hydrated and drinking water daily. Your skin is mostly water so it needs a lot of hydration.

In conclusion, when you are deciding on your skincare regimen remember it includes all your skin. From the top of your head to the bottoms of your feet. Make sure to cleanse it, moisturize it, and maintain the ph-balance of it and you and your skin will be healthy and strong for a long time.
