Home appliances have been in constant evolution since their creation because manufacturers and users have always been in the constant search for perfection, particularly in terms of technology.
In the past, home appliances were limited to performing their functions without further ado. They were designed just to do some particular tasks for us. However, if we stop to think for a few seconds, we can see how home appliances have evolved.
Perhaps we are very happy with those we have at home, but the truth is that nowadays all household electronic products have evolved significantly and neither the vacuum cleaner nor even the iron are the same simple devices they used to be. On the other hand, hundreds more have been created with the same goal: simplifying our lives.
Clear examples of the changes in technology are TV sets, fridges and washing machines, which show how engineers and manufacturers succeeded in designing such complex devices to make everyday life easier.
Microwave oven in modern life
The truth is that modern appliances available on the market just keep getting better year after year.
Undoubtedly, one of the appliances that, although it may go unnoticed, has had a great impact in our daily lives is the microwave oven.
Think about it, how many times have you got home without wanting to stand in front of your stove to cook? We all have, and that is where the microwave oven comes into play with advantages, such as:
- The cooking speed to heat cold dishes or defrost food.
- Its convenience and ease of use, it is foolproof.
- The cleaning task is considerably reduced, if not eliminated.
- You don’t need to use oil and food loses fewer nutrients, so you eat healthier.
Many people today use their microwave ovens not only to heat or defrost food but also to cook and even to roast their dishes. Cooking with microwaves has become fashionable.
As crazy as it may sound, the cooking method that best preserves nutrients is one that can heat food quickly, exposes food to heat for a short time, and uses the least amount of liquid possible, and the microwave meets all three of these characteristics. The microwave oven is a vital element in any kitchen.
One of the best uses we can give to our microwave oven is to cook something as simple as rice. By using this cooking method, the end result is a dish of rice with the same taste, texture, and smell as one prepared on the stove but with the benefits that you only get with the microwave oven.
