Do you like cats?
Honestly, I am more of a dog person…but this video showed me that cats can be protective too. Dogs are amazing pets and they can be very friendly, but aggressive dogs are very frightening. I read a short article about reactivity and aggression in dogs on KarmaPets that can be helpful dog owners such as the owner of the dog that attacked the kid.
Here is the story…
While riding his bike, a 4-year-old boy from Bakersfield, was attacked by a dog this Tuesday.
Fortunately, his pet (the cat) quickly came to the rescue and saved him from a mad dog.
“My cat defends my son during a vicious dog attack and runs the dog off before he can do additional damage. Thankfully, my son is fine!” says Roger Triantafilo, the boy’s father.
The boy’s mother, Erica Triantafilo, told NBC affiliate KGET that she was outside at the time and when she tried to chase the dog further away, it bit her, too.
The toddler received 10 stitches. He is now home recovering.
