What is your favorite movie?
Is it comedy?
I feel like there is less and less good comedy movies lately…what do you think?
I did a little research and I saw that there is a huge hype that sells the comedy movies and when you go and watch them….it is a waste of time.
Sharing this with the colleagues here, led to making the following list of 7 movies that deserve the title “FUNNIEST”

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Monty Python – a British comedy troupe shoot a film, parodying King Arthur’s quest to find the Holy Grail. They did the movie during a break between seasons of their BBC sketch show. Before this, in 1971 they did “And Now for Something Completely Different”. The movie was a collection of sketches. With “The Holy Grail” they focused on single premise. The movie is the masterpiece which immediately attracted a fiercely devoted plot.
Duck Soup
“The small state of Freedonia is in a financial mess, borrowing a huge sum of cash from wealthy widow Mrs. Teasdale. She insists on replacing the current president with crazy Rufus T. ‘The Life of Brian’
The is a cult classic and it’s most enduring legacy is the song “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.” Monty Python’s third movie has a pretty brilliant concept: What if some other Jewish guy was born on the same exact day as Jesus Christ in the stable next door? The film is a spoof of Christianity and didn’t generate nearly as much controversy as one might imagine, though some towns in England considered it blasphemous and refused to allow screenings.
Office Space
In the Initech office, the insecure Peter Gibbons hates his job and the abusive Division VP Bill Lumbergh that has just hired two consultants to downsize the company. His best friends are the software engineers Michael Bolton and Samir Nagheenanajar that also hate Initech, and his next door neighbor Lawrence. His girlfriend Anne is cheating on him but she convinces Peter to visit the hypnotherapist Dr. Swanson. And…I am going to stop here 🙂 so you can watch it yourself.
Blazing Saddles

Airplane!
Still craving for the love of his life, Ted Striker follows Elaine onto the flight that she is working on as a member of the cabin crew. Elaine doesn’t want to be with Ted anymore, but when the crew and passengers fall ill from food poisoning, all eyes are on Ted.
Dumb and Dumber
Two best friends and two unintelligent men living in Providence, Rhode Island. Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey), employed as a limousine driver, falls in love with Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly) whom he drives to the airport. She leaves her briefcase at the terminal and Lloyd, not knowing it contains ransom money for her kidnapped husband Bobby, retrieves it and attempts to return it to her. He and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) decide to travel to Aspen in order to do it. Have you seen it?
