Nintendo made it absolutely clear that the possibility of using Amiibos for games from third-party developers, including independent ones, was on the table. That means Nintendo might make Amiibo figurines for games other than Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Wii U console. Well, I am going to hold Nintendo to that statement. I want to see the rebirth of more third-party franchises on the Wii and 3DS, and I would like Nintendo to make some Amiibos for these games. Here is a list of third party franchises I would like to see get the Amiibo treatment.
5. Street Fighter
The biggest wrench in this idea is that Street Fighter V was just announced. As of now, Street Fighter V is only exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. However, it could be a timed exclusive. There was a time where Resident Evil 4 was supposed to be exclusive to the Gamecube. After a while, that changed. Back in the day, the Street Fighter II and Street Fighter II Turbo video games were some of my favorite games on the SNES console. Hopefully, some day, Wii U will work out a deal to get a new Street Fighter game on the console. A new Street Fighter game would be the perfect platform to produce Amiibos. It is a classic fighting game series like Super Smash Bros., and Street Fighter has a cast of popular, well known favorites among fans and gamers.
4. Bayonetta
Bayonetta 2 is a Wii U exclusive title. Therefore, Nintendo should take advantage of that relationship and try and get some more juice out of the deal with some Bayonetta Amiibos. There probably would not be a ton of Amiibo options for the game, but fans of the franchise would probably love to get some Amiibos for a couple characters. Or, Nintendo could always incorporate Bayonetta into Super Smash Bros. and make an Amiibo of her that way.
3. Rayman
Three words: Raving Rabbid Amiibos. Rayman Legends played great on the Wii U, and the franchise is supremely fun and imaginative. The Rayman series is a great series for kids and families. Not only that, there are a ton of fun, colorful and playable characters from Rayman Legends. Nintendo should work with Ubisoft to potentially make the next Rayman installment Amiibo-compatible with some new Amiibo figurines for Rayman and his pals.
2. Sonic the Hedgehog
Over the past two decades, Sonic the Hedgehog has built up a colorful cast of lovable characters and critters. Sega and Nintendo already have a pretty good relationship. In recent years, Sonic the Hedgehog has crossed over into Nintendo video games. He is a playable character in Super Smash Bros., and he is getting his own Amiibo for this game. Since 3DS and Wii U exclusive Sonic the Hedgehog video games already exist, a future one would be perfect to utilize for the Amiibo format. Just imagine Amiibos of Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy and even Eggman. It would be awesome.
1. Mega Man
Sooner or later, come hell or high water, another Mega Man game will happen. Mega Man is a series that is merchandisable as all get out. I would love to see a new installment of the franchise, either a classic Mega Man or a new version of Mega Man X. Mega Man constitutes an awesome opportunity for Amiibos; and great possibilities follow, with characters like Mega Man, Zero, Proto Man and more. Mega Man is already set for Super Smash Bros. and is getting his own Amiibo for that game. The next step would be a new Wii U or 3DS Mega Man game for use of the Amiibos.
after the crap ubisoft did(delaying a finished game,insulting the wiiu, an porting rayman becouse they thought it wouldn’t sell well) they insulted nintendo fans and treat us like garbage.
