Batman Arkham Knight: Top 5 Batmobile Alternate Skin Wish List

Batman

The ability to utilize the Batmobile constitutes a large part of the appeal of the highly anticipated sequel, Batman Arkham Knight. The development team at Rocksteady Studios has completely redesigned Batman’s ride for the game. However, just as players can give Batman different costumes with the alternate Batman skins, the Batmobile will have its own alternate skins. Previously, the only released alternate skin for the Batmobile was a prototype version of the current design. An online retailer confirmed that the game will feature another alternate skin–the 1960s Batman TV series version of the Batmobile. In other words, players will get to use the same Batmobile driven by Adam West and Burt Ward. So I compiled a list of the alternate Batmobile skins that need to make it into the game

5. Chris Nolan’s Batman Trilogy: The Tumbler

I was never the biggest fan of the Tumbler, but it does have its appeal among the Batman faithful. Not to mention, the place in history for Nolan’s Batman movie trilogy, along with the Tumbler, is undeniable. The Tumbler had some interesting features. It was fairly versatile and could seemingly conquer any terrain– even rooftops. The new Batmobile for Arkham Knight clearly took some visual cues from the Tumbler. It would not be a huge jump.

4. Beware the Batman Batmobile

I was not crazy about the execution of Beware the Batman. Overall, I found the show to be a bit of a letdown. However, I really dug the Batmobile from the show. It represented a more traditional, sleek design that paired well with Batman. I would not mind seeing it get a skin for the game. However, since the show was dropped by Cartoon Network, this one probably has a slim chance of appearing in the game.

3. Batman: The Brave and the Bold Batmobile

This Batmobile was a fun kitschy mix. It included a touch of the cars from the comics, the 1960s TV series, and some of the more modern iterations. I liked that the front bumper resembled the head of a bat and the single wing fin on the back. The bubble windshields resemble the 1960s TV Batmobile. This was actually a popular animated series, so it has a good chance to appear in the game.

2. Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile

The live-action films were generally up and down in quality; yet throughout the 1990s, Bruce Timm and Paul Dini created an ultimate standard in quality for Batman media with Batman: The Animated Series. Bruce Timm’s design for the Batmobile is spectacular and still holds up to this day. It is both retro, yet sleek and modern as well. The Batman Arkham video games have frequently incorporated skins based on Batman: The Animated Series for the characters. It is time for the animated series version of the Batmobile to make its own appearance.

1. Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman Movie Batmobile

This is the most memorable and iconic version of the Batmobile. Quite frankly, it is my favorite version of the Batmobile and the one I identity with the most. This was the Batmobile that made me fall in love with the Batmobile. It was an amazing and memorable design. It looked like something Batman would drive, and it also made an awesome toy. In short, if the Burton Batmobile does not make it into the game…fans will riot.
